How to pack books & comics for shipping

1.

Comics must be shipped in a purpose-built comic mailer (Gemini-style) or rigid mailer. Bubble mailers flex during sorting and cause spine rolls and cover creases.

2.

For CGC/CBCS graded slabs, double-box: wrap the slab in bubble wrap, place in a snug inner box, then ship inside a 14x10x4 outer box with 2" cushioning on all sides.

3.

Books qualify for USPS Media Mail ($3-5 for most), which saves significantly over Priority. But Media Mail is slow (2-8 days) and gets opened for inspection — don't include non-media items.

4.

Always bag and board comics before shipping, even if the listing says "raw." A 6.5x10.5 bag with a backing board costs $0.10 and prevents 90% of transit damage claims.
