Privacy Policy

NiceBoxFinder respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the limited cases where it's shared. Our design goal is to collect as little as possible while still operating a useful service.

Information we collect

Search queries

When you use the search form, we record the dimensions, weight, quantity, and fragile flag you enter. This data is used to generate search results and is also stored in our price-history database (powered by Supabase) so we can show price trends over time. Your search queries are not associated with any personally identifying information — we don't log your IP address or browser fingerprint alongside the query.

Analytics and server logs

We use privacy-preserving analytics to measure page views, referrers, and general usage patterns. These analytics do not use tracking cookies and do not identify individual users. Standard web server logs (HTTP requests, error rates) are retained for up to 30 days for operational debugging.

Cookies

NiceBoxFinder itself does not set any tracking cookies. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may set technical cookies required for the site to function. Third-party affiliate links, once you click through to a retailer like eBay, may set cookies controlled by that retailer — we have no control over those and recommend reviewing their privacy policies directly.

Affiliate tracking

When you click a "Buy →" link on a search result, we append affiliate tracking parameters to the URL (via the eBay Partner Network and similar programs once approved). These parameters allow the retailer to attribute your purchase to NiceBoxFinder so we earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. The only information shared with the retailer is that the click originated from NiceBoxFinder — not your identity or search history.

Advertising

NiceBoxFinder may display ads served by Google AdSense or similar networks. These networks use cookies and similar technologies to serve relevant ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google's Ads Settings page. We don't share any information directly with advertisers.

Data we do NOT collect

• Your name, email, or phone number (we don't have signup)
• Your location beyond coarse country-level analytics
• Your payment or billing information
• Social media account data
• Biometric or health data

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes. The only recipients of data from NiceBoxFinder are:

• Our hosting and infrastructure providers (Vercel, Cloudflare, Supabase, Upstash) — each bound by their own privacy policies
• Affiliate networks when you click through a retailer link (click attribution only)
• Law enforcement, only if legally compelled

Your rights

Because we don't collect personally identifying information, there's generally no individual data to request, correct, or delete. If you believe we hold information about you and want it removed, contact us at the contact page.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. Material changes will be highlighted in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
