Affiliate Disclosure

Plain-language summary
NiceBoxFinder is free for you to use. We pay the costs of running it through three revenue streams, all disclosed here so you know exactly how we make money and where our incentives lie. None of these streams charge you directly or affect the prices you see — retailers do not raise prices when customers arrive through affiliate links.
1. Affiliate commissions
When you click a "Buy →" button on a search result and subsequently purchase the item (or anything else) on the retailer's website within their tracking window, NiceBoxFinder may earn a small commission on that sale. This is standard affiliate marketing and is the primary way most price comparison sites are funded.
The affiliate programs we participate in (or plan to participate in post-launch) include:
- eBay Partner Network (EPN) — commissions range from 1% to 4% depending on category. eBay's cookie window is 24 hours.
- Amazon Associates — commissions vary by category. Amazon's cookie window is 24 hours.
- Walmart Creator / Impact — commissions vary. Cookie window 3 days.
- Home Depot via Commission Junction — 24-hour cookie.
- Staples via Commission Junction — 7-day cookie.
- Other direct affiliate programs as we integrate more retailers.
Commission rates are set by the retailers, not by us. We do not boost the ranking of listings based on commission rates — our result ordering is determined by the cost-per-useful-box formula described on every result page.
2. Sponsored placements
Some retailers may pay NiceBoxFinder a flat fee to have their listings featured more prominently. Any result that is a paid placement is clearly marked with a Sponsored badge so you can make an informed decision. Sponsored placements do not bypass our search logic — they still must actually fit your dimensions and we still show their real price and shipping estimate alongside organic results.
3. Display advertising
NiceBoxFinder may display ads served by Google AdSense or similar ad networks. These ads are clearly visually separated from search results and do not influence which products we surface. Ad revenue is a function of impressions and clicks on the ads themselves, not the search results.
What this means for you
- You pay the retailer, not us. Clicking an affiliate link never changes the price you pay.
- We don't rank by commission. A listing with a 4% commission ranks the same way as a listing with 0% commission — we sort by effective landed cost.
- Sponsored placements are labeled. Every paid result shows a "Sponsored" badge. Unlabeled results are 100% organic.
- You can bypass our links. If you'd rather not use our affiliate link for a given purchase, simply note the item details and navigate to the retailer directly. We still get paid on all the other users who do click through.
FTC compliance
This disclosure is provided in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's Endorsement Guides. We believe transparency about how we make money helps build trust with users who are, after all, the reason this site exists at all.
